Workshops on child development were conducted for parents and staff.The centre also catered for practicum students from FNU, USP, APTC and universities in Australia and Germany.The importance of culture and diversity is preserved at the centre with activities and events for all religious festivals, together with more than 23 topics of inquiry per year.Our annual concert including kindergarten graduation and final goodbyes from families was again a highlight. Excursions organized for the children to extend their learning outside of the school environment included First Landing Resort - enriching due to its significance of Fijian origin, and the Agriculture show.The highlight of the year was the celebration of Early Childhood Week.We also welcomed special visitors from the fire service and school zone nurse.Construction of new shade cover in the front yard was vital after Cyclone Evan.We acknowledge the generous support of the Reddy Group for the rent-free use of our premises and maintenance support, particularly after Cyclone Evan.Other supporters included the Vichtas, Wrights, Carpet 1 (NZ), Pacific Smiles (Aust), National Tooth Brushing Committee and the centre’s neighbors and friends.
