What we do
Empower Pacific seeks to enhance the full potential of communities by working in partnership with government and other community agencies to ensure a holistic model of professional health service.
We offer a variety of programs aimed at enhancing the health and wellbeing of our clients as well as facilitating opportunities for learning, income generation and personal growth. Empower Pacific’s programs include:

Who we help
Empower Pacific is committed to providing free and confidential, professional services to all those in need, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, background, income, health status, or disability.
Empower Pacific helps men, women, children, teenagers, mothers, fathers, individuals, couples, families, communities, sex workers, HIV positive clients, (ex) prisoners, farmers, business owners, unemployed, homeless, mentally ill, those living with a disability, students, professionals, government departments, schools, health care workers, community groups, the marginalized, the sick, to anyone who requires a helping hand, to those looking for support to achieve their full potential.
How we do it
Empower Pacific works in a variety of settings, in collaboration with Government Departments to offer a network of professional counseling services when and where people need it most. By working in consultation with government, NGOs and community groups, Empower Pacific provides relevant psychological, social and economic services to peoples of Fiji and the Pacific. Empower Pacific’s approach to holistic service provision ensures that social work interventions, income generating initiatives, and commitment to upholding the MDGS ensures that our clients receive the type of service most appropriate to their needs.
Empower Pacific is a resourceful, pro-active, innovative, technical skills-based, learning organisation seeking to deliver and promote good practice and high quality services. We are committed to partnerships to avoid duplication of services and to ensure our services adequately meet the human development goals of our Pacific Region, in the interests of Human Rights and gender equity. Empower Pacific is efficient, transparent, accountable, evidence based and focused on putting people first.
Where we do it
We have offices based in Suva, Lautoka, Nadi and Labasa in addition to Satellite Centers in Nausori and Valelevu. Our counselors are located within all major hospitals in Fiji and we have counseling service centers based in Suva and the West. Our counselors and social work teams offer community support to targeted areas of the Western Division, including counselors who are able to be quickly mobilized to respond to natural disasters and crisis throughout the country.
We have partnerships with the Ministry to Health to offer IGP and counseling services in Raki Raki, Sigatoka and Vatekola. We work with schools in the Western Division and our MOU with Department of Social Workers allows us to receive referrals Fiji-wide. We work within Prisons in Ba, Noboro, Natabua and Labasa and our Sekoula program recruits sex workers from major metropolitan areas. Our expanding IGP team serves clients from both urban and rural settings, including clients who live in the interior.
Our research and prison team has engaged with prisoners following release- where ever they may be in the country. Our research team has existing partnerships with Australia and is looking to expand into New Zealand and across the region. Our training and Capacity Development Programs are inclusive of all Pacific Island nations.
